Moroccan Tea
August 29, 2008 | 2 Comments

I recently came across the work of Edward Minoff, a young artist from New York. He seems to work primarily with oils, but I really enjoy his drawings too. You can browse more work on his website. It’s always nice to happen across some tea-related works, and I’ve been craving a real Moroccan tea experience lately, so the image above was a nice coincidence.
The county has finally signed-off on our plans, so just a couple more hoops to jump through. Our lighting is in, and we are very close to having all of the interiors done. Almost…there…
Thanks for checking in.

Tea, Art, Music, Love

The Tea Appreciation Society is a delightfully quirky mix of creatives who just happen to love tea. Check their site for a smattering of videos, pictures and music, as well as a blog with an eclectic selection of entries. It’s a definite treat for anyone who likes to blend their varying interests. Enjoy, and thanks for checking in.

Tea Parlor Screenprint
Evan Hecox, 2007
We are happy to have a couple of Evan Hecox screenprints framed and ready to hang in the shop. Hecox is one of my absolute favorite designer/illustrators working today. Though his own site isn’t updated too often, it’s worth a look to view some of his work over the years. And, the prints tend to sell pretty quickly, but if you’re interested, check out the Arkitip shop for a collection of Evan Hecox printed matter.

Tokyo Fish Market Screenprint

More teaware arrivals this week, along with more samples of teas to cup. Our tea list should be finalized in the next week. While we wait for word from the county, we move forward with the website development and final interior work on the shop. It will all converge as necessary, and we cannot wait for the day.
Hope you had an enjoyable weekend, and we wish you a great start to the new week.
Thanks for reading.

Morning Biscuits

As I mentioned, it’s hard to keep me away from these things. So far I’ve only raided one pack, but Christi and Paul should probably hide these from me if they want to have some for the shop.
Enjoy your weekend!
