Yes, I am putting it out there. We are now in the very last stages of finalizing our website! Yes, it has taken forever, but we have been really focused on our storefront since opening. Building relationships with our customers has been a pleasure beyond all expectations. As a very community-oriented business, we have taken great pride in creating a space for people to come and further their appreciation of this noble, historic beverage. Now it is time to expand that community by sharing tea with our fellow tea lovers throughout the country. Even this little blog has reached people from many different states who contact us to say they enjoy reading our posts. Some of them have begun to follow us on our Facebook page, and others have actually come to visit us during their trips to California. We love that!

So, I’m putting it out there for all to see. We are launching the website very soon! Stay tuned for the announcement of the official launch date. And for those who have been waiting for more Halcyon Tea e-newsletters, you can be assured that these will be happening more regularly as well. We are very excited for this next chapter, and we thank you very much for all of your interest and support.

The new teas have been moving quickly!  If you haven’t had a chance to check them out, be sure to stop by and see what’s happening. We will continue to add a few new selections. Among other things, we are really looking forward to 2nd-flush Darjeelings, which are being harvested as we speak. Stay tuned to see what we’ll be bringing into the shop.

Hey, everyone. If  you’ve been thinking, “Hmm…he said he would be posting more, yet it’s been almost two weeks!” you would be right. I’m just back from some vacation time with my family. Now it’s time to get back into the swing of things, so here we go.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed a name for our Russian blend. We have extended the contest through this Friday for another round of tasting and dialing in the blend. So, if you haven’t contributed a name idea and you want to, there is still time. If you have already submitted one or more, feel free to keep them coming as there is no limit.

So, it rained pretty darn hard earlier today, and we hear it’s supposed to keep going through the week. Perfect tea weather! There’s nothing like being indoors with your favorite cup of tea tea, maybe a book or a movie, and a solid rain outside. Hello! I hope this note finds you all well after a terrific holiday season. We are open today until 4 pm, and will be closed tomorrow for New Years Day. We will be back to normal hours beginning Saturday, January 2nd.

Hey everyone! Wow, it has been a very busy time here at the shop. Thank you so much to all of you for shopping locally and supporting independent businesses. It has really been incredible. We could not imagine being in a better neighborhood than South Park. We have amazing neighbors and the best customers ever. Seriously. We really appreciate all of you!

HOLIDAY HOURS: We will be open tomorrow (Christmas Eve) until 5 pm for any last minute items you may need. Then, we will be closed December 25th through the 28th, and open again on Tuesday, the 29th. Here’s wishing you all a wonderful, very happy holiday. We look forward to seeing you soon!
